CCEA Workshop
Collective Creation based on the Evolution of Learning
A migration from the desert of disconnection
towards the source of collective creativity.
CONTEXT
The drought broke deeper than ever. Education increases a crisis of meaning and we do not know how to proceed. As in ancient times, it is time to recognize our disorientation and seek advice from our ancestors. This workshop is the adventure of a migration to our evolutionary roots in search of fresh water.
We will investigate the meaning of learning in the origin of origins, in the emergence of the first cells, looking for the first mother to bring our question: “How did we learn for the first time? What is the essence and meaning of learning?”
We will sit by the fire to listen to the stories of our grandmothers and take a walk through the origin of mammals, primates and our own species. We will see how the powerful learning tools that today are urgent to remember to reimagine school were formed.

Modules:
01
The state of crisis that currently affects education will be contextualized through the metaphor of drought and therefore the need to awaken collective reflection to know where to migrate in search of fresh water. This migration is towards our evolutionary origin. In the practical part, you are invited to draw individually "what the desert of education is" for each one and then share this in small groups to reflect where we can find "the fresh water" of motivation. A space for communication and listening to their needs is used, also facilitating the workshop participants to get to know each other.
02
We will look at the first two learning tools, experimentation and imitation. At the same time showing how this "biography of our species" are the foundations of humanity. In the practical session we will do an "individual biography" based on a guided Biomap, which consists of each one making a brief timeline of their life, emphasizing how the marker experiences of participation and collective work were. Then, this same thing is worked on collectively in small groups to build a common vision of the tools that facilitate collective creativity.
03
We will theoretically see the third and fourth tools of learning, play and teaching. We will understand the environmental context in which these social skills are necessary. In the practical phase we will go to "the playful biography" to experientially remember the game and how we transform it into collective projects. Then each group will think of a mini recreational project that responds to their needs.
04
Finally we will theoretically see the evolution of the 5th learning tool, the Collective Imagination and why we are a species so sensitive to narratives and stories. We will complement it with the foundations of the importance of an extended childhood to achieve this tool, also linking the explanation of why cooperative parenting becomes essential to sustain this prolonged childhood. In the practical phase now all groups will have the common challenge that will be revealed at the end of the course for pedagogical reasons.
